In the older version at 10.7.1, for these equivalent services, after I created them I moved them to be owned by a different Portal administrator, instead of the Service Account (who is also an administrator of Portal) running GeoEvent. Since the upgrade, I've had to rebuild a number of the Spatiotemporal DS services, which appear in the GeoEvent Manager like so. Again, due to time constraints, I ended up doing a administrative reset ( as described for older versions 10.6.1 etc.) and then re-applied the backed up config.xml and managed to get GeoEvent back to where it was (with the new Spatiotemporal DS registered). Upgrading from URP 7.2.
UPGRADE 10.6 8 TO 10.7 INSTALL
To upgrade URP to version 10.7.x, install the new version of the package. URP 10.7.x does not have breaking changes compared with URP 10.0.x10.6.x.
UPGRADE 10.6 8 TO 10.7 HOW TO
We then upgraded GeoEvent to 10.8.1, which looked to have upgrade fine, however, after I applied the first GeoEvent 10.8.1 patch, GeoEvent would no longer start up. This page describes how to upgrade from an older version of the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) to version 10.7.x. Obviously this was not ideal as we lost the data we had stored in there. In the end, the only way we could get around this within our outage window was to uninstall/re-install a new Spatiotemporal DS. First question, was this the correct tool to try and run? Or, was there something else we could have tried to fix the spatiotemporal DS?
UPGRADE 10.6 8 TO 10.7 MANUAL
There are some manual security patches worth doing, though. Which failed with an error: "Error encountered: Failed to repair data store."Īt this point, we were a bit stuck as we were attempting to perform this upgrade during a pre-defined outage window. Best answer: I see no reason to upgrade - 10.6.8 is arguably the best desktop OS Apple ever made, and neither 10.6 nor 10.7 are still supported by apple with security updates. "configuredatastore.bat password D:\arcgisdatastore -stores spatiotemporal -operation repair" We then searched for what the "repair tool" might be and ended up running:

Caused by: Spatiotemporal big data store upgrade has completed but there were some problems while migrating metadata. When we were upgrading Spatiotemporal, we ran into an error stating: The settings for the installation location, license manager (for Concurrent Use), or authorization information (for Single Use) are retained in the upgrade. For example, a 10.5 GIS Server (that is not the hosting server) and a 10.5.1 Business Analyst Server can be federated with a 10.6 portal, as long as its hosting server is at version 10.6. The ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.1 setup is designed to detect and upgrade an existing installation of ArcGIS Desktop (version 10.3 or later) on the target system. We recently undertook a 10.7.1 -> 10.8.1 Enterprise upgrade and as part of that we attempted to upgrade Spatiotemporal DS and GeoEvent. However, a 10.6 portal will work with any other federated server that is at version 10.5 or later.
